Approximately 1 year ago, we installed SSL certificate to multiple website in IIS 7.5.

Now we have to renew it, however I forgot some steps since it involves command line.

For  importing certificate to IIS, there is link from GoDaddy http://support.godaddy.com/help/article/4801/installing-an-ssl-certificate-in-microsoft-iis-7.

Once the certificate is imported then we need to assign https server binding. IIS Manager GUI can only assign 1 certificate to 1 website.

So we need to manually assign it via command line with AppCmd.exe.

AppCmd.exe can be found in C:\Windows\System32\inetsrv .

The command is something like this:

appcmd set site /site.name:"My Site" /+bindings.[protocol='https',bindingInformation='*:443:www.mysite.com']

You will need to change “My Site” with correct website name in IIS, and “www.mysite.com” with your host name.
